Synopsis

Lucky is born with two brothers, Jack and Gus, and two sisters, Lilly Ann and Fran. Encouraged by their parents, the kittens venture outside to wonder at the world of mice, dogs, trees and birds; then off to school where they learn vocabulary and spelling and the history of cats, their noble ancestors.  After graduation, Lucky faces a job, service to his country, marriage and kids of his own and then, sadly, the  loss of his father. Every step of the way, Lucky asks the important question now what? always curious as he experiences the nine stages of his life, always moving toward a meaningful and happy life.

Production History

The Nine Lives of Lucky the Cat was first produced in 2001 by The Magical Caravan Players at Pax Amicus Theater (Budd Lake, NJ) as Kittens, with subsequent revivals in  2006 and 2010. Most recently, the show, re-imagined as The Nine Lives Of Lucky The Cat, was produced at Pax Amicus in early 2024.
